How I got here
Education
I received a PhD in economics from the University of Auckland in 2005 and I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Institute of Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University from 2006 to 2008.
Work experience
I worked as a lecturer in economics at the University of Auckland for five years before moving into full-time consulting at Covec.
I have fifteen years of consulting experience. As a consultant, I have delivered many projects for leading business and government organisations in New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific.
I have also served as an advisor to Figure.NZ.
Schiff Consulting
In 2014 I started my own consulting business. My work now focusses on the intersection of data science and economics. I specialise in applying data analysis to commercial and policy issues.
